Intel's First 45nm Processor Provides Greater Computing Power in
Smaller Energy Efficient Form Factor
LAS VEGAS--(Business Wire)--Toshiba's Digital Products Division, a division
of Toshiba America
Information Systems, Inc., today announced that its Qosmio(R),
Satellite(R) X205 and select models of the Satellite U305 notebook
series will incorporate Intel's new line of performance Core 2 Duo
mobile processors - (codename Penryn) designed to deliver greater
computing prowess to power the most demanding applications.

"Toshiba is pleased to be one of the first notebook manufacturers
to incorporate Intel's newest processing innovation into its
mainstream consumer notebooks," said Jeff Barney, vice president of
marketing, Digital Products Division, Toshiba America Information
Systems, Inc. "The addition of these processors will enable us to
provide our customers with notebooks that boast greater power and
speed to efficiently accomplish more."

New models of the Satellite X205 will use the Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor T8100 to drive gaming performance even higher, while the 4.6
pound(1) Satellite U305 will harness the Intel Core2 Duo Processor
T8100 to prove that mobility and performance are not mutually
exclusive. The Qosmio G45 with the Intel Core2 Duo Processor T9300
will continue to lead the industry's integration of HD DVD technology.
Configurations of the Qosmio G45, Satellite X205 and Satellite U305
featuring the new Intel Core 2 Duo Processors will be available at

reducing the environmental impact by restricting the use of lead,
mercury and certain other hazardous substances. Toshiba also offers a
computer trade-in and recycling program to reduce environmental impact
and promote efficient utilization of resources. All Toshiba computers
