NEXC 0.39, -0.02, -4.9%) (NexCen), which owns, licenses, franchises and markets a global portfolio of well-known consumer brands, has selected the Radiant retail solution for its two specialty retail concepts, The Athlete's Foot (TAF(TM))and ShoeBox New York.
"We chose Radiant Systems as our technology provider because of the company's proven track record supporting large, global franchisees like The Athlete's Foot," said Paul Jones, vice president of retail operations for NexCen. "Radiant Systems also delivers an integrated inventory control and retail point of sale (POS) solution that is ideal for ShoeBox New York, our high-end, boutique brand that carries an exclusive selection of the world's most coveted designer lines."
Only Radiant offers specialty retailers a complete solution with CounterPoint retail software, hardware built specifically for the retail environment, integrated ecommerce, and a company dedicated to providing excellent on-going support. CounterPoint software is easy to implement and delivers a complete retail management solution that includes robust inventory management, touchscreen POS ticket entry, built-in customer relationship management (CRM), automated purchasing and reporting. TAF(TM) and ShoeBox New York will use Radiant's P1520 retail POS terminals and CounterPoint software.
"CounterPoint is an ideal solution for NexCen's retail franchisee locations because it's an intuitive application that new employees are able to learn and understand quickly," said Chuck Moeling, vice president of sales and service for the retail division at Radiant Systems. "This is especially important in retail environments where the addition of seasonal employees results in many new users on the system."
The functionality behind Radiant Systems' retail technology aligns well with NexCen's business model. Because NexCen's retail division franchises more than 600 stores worldwide, its corporate office requires a POS solution that provides visibility into each franchisee's revenues, yet ensures privacy among the franchisee community.
"With our offerings, NexCen's corporate team receives broad visibility into the overall business results of each store, while each franchisee's data remains secure and inaccessible by others in the franchise community," Moeling added.
Radiant Systems began deploying its POS hardware and software in the first two TAF(TM) locations in July.
