Belgacom launches mobile internet service for ADSL customers

BRUSSELS (Thomson Financial) - Belgacom SA says it will launch a new bundled fixed and mobile service offer on December 1, taking a further step in the convergence of products and services, a trend which is sweeping the telecoms market.
Using a data card or USB modem, the new offer allows users to connect to the Internet wirelessly on their laptop wherever they want and bills customers for the service via a single invoice.
Customers will be able to access the Proximus 3G Broadband network, which allows them to surf through high-speed HSDPA mobile technology.
